Many of you may know Father Demetrios Carellas. I received an email from him that he sent out to many im sure. I thought I would pass it along in hopes that we can all join in prayer for this girl and others like her. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ on my General List,
I beg, with all of my heart, you to join me in prayer for ALLY, who is planning to abort her child tomorrow. May our Lord permit ALL of our prayers to touch the heart of this poor young woman, so that she will turn our our Lord Jesus and NOT abort her baby! Please share this with whomever you feel will join in this prayer.

I am asking for your prayers for a young girl who is scheduled for an abortion tomorrow. PLEASE, could you pray that she has a change of heart. I do not know her. She is a babysitter for a co-worker. I have pleaded through this co-worker to take the child myself and give the young woman care at my house at no expense to her but to no avail she is going through with it tomorrow. Her name is Ally.

No update yet as far as I know. I'm still hopeful. I know my sister planned on getting abortions with both her kids and God had other plans both times. It seemed right before her appointments a car would break down or a ride would fall through. Divine providence no doubt. I almost cry sometimes when I look at my two beautiful nephews now.

I received an update today. Thank you all for your prayers. A sad day indeed. My beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This afternoon, the pious lady - who informed me about Ally - sent me an update which I have printed below. It appears that Ally's heart was not open to all of the prayers being offered for her and her baby. Hopefully, in time, those prayers will lead her to repentance and healing (Because prayers offered for someone's salvation are BEYOND time and space!).
I want to thank all of you for your spontaneous outpouring of love for this poor child. So many of you even offered to take care of Ally and her baby. In my heart, I truly believe that - since literally thousands of prayers were offered up so quickly for this wounded young woman, and she refused to allow them to enter her precious soul - God applied the prayers on MANY mothers, whose hearts were open to Him; and SEVERAL babies were saved today through your prayers! God bless all of you, my beloved friends! It gives my heart such JOY to see this wonderful example of your love for Christ and your compassion for His children.

I am writing with sorrow to tell you we are all assuming Ally had proceeded with her plans for her abortion. We have not heard otherwise. She was scheduled this morning at 11AM.
I spoke to N_____ around 7:45AM this morning and have been in contact with her throughout the day hoping we could reach out to Ally. She did not know where Ally was going for the abortion; as she told her she wanted nothing to do with it.
Nothing makes sense. The prayers, the friends, the support—Ally had every good thing surrounding her. N______ begged her to reconsider and told me, there were even people here eager to take the baby. I am so sorry. If only I had better news. May God forgive me if I didn’t do enough for this poor innocent soul. Many thanks to you and everyone who prayed for the situation. |

Our prayers are not in vain. What satan intends for evil, God uses for good. There is another precious soul in heaven now. This poor woman who hardened her heart to Life - and we do not know why - is still able to repent and receive the mercy of God. Satan is the father of lies and the instigator of death, but his plans have already been defeated by the Cross, and thus he has no true victory. This is sad news indeed, but it is not the end of the story. So let us not despair, but rather increase our vigilance both in prayer and in our endeavors to promote the sanctity of human Life.

However, we must pray for her repentance.
I have heard of several women who have had abortions, but who have never repented due to the hardness of their hearts.
Instead, they turned against the Holy Orthodox Church. They are most in need of our prayers.
Lord have mercy on Ally and save her.
