My wife Katrina was diagnosed on Friday with breast cancer:  it is large, but operable and she will have radiation and chemotherapy afterwards.  It is likely to be a single but maybe double masectomy.  For our children, Elias (19 months) and Lila, (7) please pray.  Please pray not only for Katrina's healing, but for her to see the value of reconnecting with God and the sacraments anew. Pray also for me a sinner.

I had breast cancer a couple of years ago although not as bad as Katrina's and I am convinced St Luke the Surgeon was with me the whole time. I will say his Akathist for her. He is truly a wonderful saint - still a doctor in heaven.

Sr Margaret

(the Akathist is here https://docs.google.com/View?id=dhj24ktt_11mw7czvgm if anyone wants it)
