Hello, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ!  I would just like to let you know that, starting tomorrow, I'm going to try and stay off of the coputer until the end of lent. I will, however, check my e-mail every Friday afternoon.   if you need my e-mail, just send me a PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

reasons I'm doign this:

-I'm really, really, really wierd (just joking  Wink  )

-it will help me clear my mind and concentrate on prayer and spiritual reading, and not on checking FaceBook every 10 minutes.

-I have been struggling with a dependancy on pornography that I seem to finally be kicking, but this will help emencely!

-since my family is not Orthodox, I cannot (and am instructed not to by my Spiritual Father) fast from food. it would make my mother very hostile to my Faith if I limit what I can eat.  so, this is my part.  some are addicted to chocolate, I'm addicted to the internet.

-after a nun told me how evil the internet is, I realized I need to limit my use of it.  it should be a once-in-a-while luxury, not sharing a vital organ with me.  I really need to cut myself loose from the internet.

and I'd deeply appreciate it if you'd all pray for me!

also, please pray from my Father, Mark (Eric) who's just been made a catechumen.

thank you all! and may your Lented fasts be blessed!

I've decided that since this is an Orthodox Christian forum, it would be safe to spend time on here when I'm on the net, so I'm going to pop in and out during the fast  Wink
