Ave Maria! Salam!
The coptic catholic patriarch does wear a byzantine hat instead of the coptic one like pope shenouda III. why is this so? i thaught coptic catholic would stick to the coptic tradition.  ???i am confused ???
searching for the church that is both catholic and orthodox...

The "coptic catholic patriarch" is forbidden to take the traditional Coptic title of its primate-Pope.
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.

I am talking about liturgical clothing/vestments not titles! :)
searching for the church that is both catholic and orthodox...

Mixing traditions is quite common in the Catholic Churches sui iuris. In the Byzantine ones one can observe some effects of Latinization and in the Oriental ones - of Latinization and/or (self-)Byzantinization.
