It's Serbian Slava (feast of family's patron inherited from fathers, e.g my patron is st. Luke; it's the day that our first ancestor was baptized in the Orthodox Church). For Slava special cake-bread is made that's called Slavski kolač and a special ceremony (in church or/and at home) leaded by priest takes place and one of its element is raising this kolač by all the gathered people and rotating it while special troparions (the same like for wedding, so Holy Martyrs, Glory to Thee, O Christ and Rejoice o Isaiah) are chanted, another picture presenting this habit:

Had to comment on this as I thought this sort of wall hangings were not found as far north as Poland/Belarus. I mean they used to be so common back home.

Unfortunately I couldn't attend any of these 2 meetings with him in Warsaw. And I must say I bursted out laughing when I read "Dumbledore".

I'm a German American.  The difference between Poland and Belarus is simply a matter of how much fuel I need for my tank.  All Slavic women seem to have a higher incidence of beauty to me than most others, with the exception maybe (and that depends on what day it is) of Hispanic women.

Again a church service with bishop under a parasol with the name of a beer in Serbia. Now it's just the ceremony of Slava, not Liturgy. But see, what's the name of the beer! Can't imagine faces of our ancestors seeing the ceremony of Slava under a parasol advertising a Turkish beer. We're really strange nation.

This past week, we had a surprise visit from the Metropolitan. He led an (of course) beautiful liturgy, and capped it off by tonsuring the altar servers (not in this picture). This photo is of a blessing toward the end of service.
