During the Olympics when I saw the flag carried by Ethiopian athletes, I knew the flag was "wrong". Thank you for reminding me why.

Gotta love foreigners trying to tell Ethiopians what is right and wrong. Forget trying to understand the meaning behind the star on the flag, lets just sit behind our computer and judge everyone else.

As far as I know, the star symbolises the diversity and unity. I have read that the old flag remains popular with followers of Haile Selassie, which might explain why Gebre posted the image.

You are correct, he is a follower of Haile Selassie. He views the emperor as infallible.

Fun with thick wooden sticks?

You can use them for "sword" duels. Or smack others on heads or backs without any reason.

Yep.  The metric system was invented because the Eurotards were having too much trouble remembering anything that could not be counted on their fingers.
