Were you born and/or raised in Poland? If so you are atleast part Polish. Do really you think Jesus was Latin? Nice. He was born in raised in the region of the nationality we call him. So...if you were born/raised in Poland, you are atleast part-Polish. There is no way around that FACT Technically Finland isn't Scandinavian (they are Nordic), so no. Point? Finland is still not Scandinavian, I have no idea how that map proves anything.

You really believe that we actually recognize differences between various Eastern Europeans? Since when are Poles Eastern Europeans? Kind of depends who is occupying you at the moment. The whole Warsaw Pact thing kind of made you Eastern Europe in the eyes of most Westerners that I know.

Poland has one foot in both worlds: Prussians are very Germanic, while the other regions run the gambit of Slavic colors.
But, given that Poles are far more religious that Western Europeans, I'd say that they are more Eastern than Western, and that's a good thing!

Agree. In spite of my teasing, I do not consider being Eastern European as anything to be ashamed of. I was rather proud when a psychologist who had been studying me for a week finally told me that I have the profile of a rather normal Eastern European. Poland has one foot in both worlds: Prussians are very Germanic, while the other regions run the gambit of Slavic colors.
But, given that Poles are far more religious that Western Europeans, I'd say that they are more Eastern than Western, and that's a good thing!

You should provide a translation of what Babtsia says.
So, why is the video subtitled in Russian?

You should provide a translation of what Babtsia says. Як пані знає, перекладу намає [As you know there is no translation] So, why is the video subtitled in Russian? Live and let live. To most people in these parts you can still respect your country even if your native language happens to be Russian.

No less sad that a convicted criminal is currently a president... Then again, one of Polish after '89 presidents was a high ranking communist official...

Why the hell is it outside?
It's normal for parish patronal feast when for the Liturgy comes not only bishop, a lot of clergy and parishioners, but also other guests. During the foot pilgrimage from Warsaw to Grabarka we have also one Divine Liturgy in a forest (of course with alta, icons, candles and a normal tent LizaSymonenko: nice pictures

Why the hell is it outside?
It's normal for parish patronal feast when for the Liturgy comes not only bishop, a lot of clergy and parishioners, but also other guests. During the foot pilgrimage from Warsaw to Grabarka we have also one Divine Liturgy in a forest (of course with alta, icons, candles and a normal tent Must be a Polish thing lol. Never seen that in Norway, Sweden, USA, or Germany. lol

Ever bought something that looked cool on the rack, then put it on and it was terrible...? Well I know that feel now... (The girly bedroom is my fiancee's not mine btw) And people say Vikings were ferocious invaders...

I'm attaching a picture from this Liturgy. I know that also in Serbia and Romania for great celebrations with a lot of clergy and laymen there is organised a special altar (a tent or even a building as Michał posted) before the church. Maybe in Poland it's less unusual because Roman Catholics quite often celebrate theirs Masses outside the church
