Pan michal, I thought the original pic you had up was a sobering and intriquing one, fwiw.

I just thought one picture for a post is enough, so I've decided not to post the two more, but why not on the other hand:

This is abandoned church somewhere in the Roztocze region:

And this is from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, but it has a certain mood, with a Theotokos icon and possibly remnants of chained incense burner or vigil lamp:

And, while I'm at a posting spree, this is my current wallpaper Wink

Sunset on Mars

The properties of martian dust cause a bluish halo around the sun, and at sunset the reddish sky lights up blue—just the opposite of the sun's appearance on Earth.

Białystok yearly awards one young local activist. This year she has won the award for monodrama she performs in the Podlachian dialect of Belarusian language - first such play.

She has "janczary" on her neck - a few linked bells that are put on horse's neck so that they toll while the horse is running.

She got married 3 weeks ago.

I don't think Christ would be offended, seeing that in times, where one Christian denomination tells another that it is schismatic or heretical - and where "heretics" and "schismatics" are often willing to grab knives and kill themselves in the name of one Christ that died on a single cross - someone sets a statue like this.

I thought it is the Eastern Orthodox that would see the symbolism, instead of definitions, not Roman Catholic. Alas, I may be wrong.

You are a full grown man and can think for yourself, if you only want to. I do not want to start offtop, or argue, over this.

ADDED - I'll add just this thing. The region, where this installation sits, not so long as 70 years ago was a witness of people wearing one bar cross on their necks and killing anyone they see wearing a cross with three bars. A bit of southeast people wearing three bar crosses pendants were executing people with one bar cross on their necks. The symbolism of this installation is obvious in this light, for me at least.
