MANILA, March 22, 2010-The Roman Catholic Church rejects crucifixion, flagellation and similar practices of some Catholics during Holy Week.
"People should avoid self-flagellation. There are many other ways of repenting [for] our sins," said Bishop Dinualdo Gutierrez of Marbel over Catholic Church-run Radyo Veritas.

Infanta Bishop Rolando Tirona believes that flagellation and crucifixion are expressions of superstitious beliefs.

Sacrilege or awesome?
This profile is defunct as of 11/8/2017. I created it before Orthodoxy, and have used it after Orthodoxy.

I reject all that I wrote that isn't in accordance with the teachings of the Orthodox Church. Also, my posts reflect my opinions (present or former) and nothing else.

I will likely lurk on this forum under a different name.

Wouldn't there be less snow than in Penn State/State College?
Although it is further south than Center County, Cambria County is at higher elevation.  Last time I got caught in a snow storm back there was 2015.  I was staying in Patton (Cambria) and driving to Hawk Run (Clearfield) and the whole area was garbage.
My cromulent posts embiggen this forum.

Palm Sunday 2017, st. George cathedral in Tanta

Father David

As it has been posted on Facebook:
This is Father Daniel, the priest of one of the churches that has been targeted today by satanic forces. He still wears his liturgical vestments which are tainted with blood of his flock. Among them is his son. Pray for Egypt.
Pray for persecuted Christians, especially in Serbian Kosovo and Raška, Egypt and Syria

But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
