Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

Nah, I switched the language to Swedish in hope of learning some new vocabulary maybe a few months ago. Now I've gotten used to it to the extent that Finnish would seem weird.

Also, Swedish is the second official (albeit minority) language and Google has long ago stalked my location so googling etc. in Swedish does mostly the results I'm looking for.

I'm with the camp of 13 million Americans that believe politicians are, or are controlled by, Reptilians. I think only monks can solve this problem. It doesn't seem right that they prefer to ignore it.

Are such hats a Serbian thing?  I've seen more than one Serbian bishop wear various soft hats in place of the "traditional" mitre.

Unless you start a church that hands out free beer and sausage during services, you will always see more women in church...

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind.

^^ Oh. That would explain why usually there are more women at church (at least Eastern Slavic and Roman Catholic).

Unless you start a church that hands out free beer and sausage during services, you will always see more women in church...

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind.

It used to happen at my parish, after Liturgy at the meeting for the Orthodox students, and yeah then it was 50-50 (but still, I haven't found a husband).

I doubt you'd be interested in a guy who's only interest in church is beer and sausage.  You seem a bit too complicated for that.

The more people think, the harder they are to pair off.  Of course, once the lid has been taken off the head, it is almost impossible to put back on.
You can't find wisdom in the mirror.

Why's the nun in profile holding a fish? Is it the annual Lenten Sky Surfing with Bouquets Fish Fry?
