So, our Department of Health has a mascot for the polio vaccine, who resembles a drop of the medicine. A noble way to captivate children, but I can't imagine who thought it would be a good idea to wear someone like the mascot.

That's amazing.  Please tell me they have the slogan: keeping kids vakcinated.

good intention, poor choice.  It is funny though.

It is exactly what it looks like. His name is Senhor Testículos.

Do any of you have that gif/video where His Beatitude is entering a car and someone tilts his cross down so it doesn't hit the ceiling? I remember a random person sharing it on Facebook with the subtitles: "Holy Mode Off", I bursted out laughing.

From a facebook page where the Vatican quote mines are spilling in:
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

It's been a great week for my family, thanks to God. :) My dog came back home after five years with my cousin, some issues seem to have been resolved, and my little sister (who is a junior judoka and has brain palsy) carried the Paralympic torch. I'd better not post picture of my sister, but here's the old doggo to illustrate this blessed week:

"May the Lord our God remember in His kingdom all Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, which heralds the Word of Truth and fearlessly offers and distributes the Holy Oblation despite human deficiencies and persecutions moved by the powers of this world, in all time and unto the ages of ages."

We must secure the existence of our people and a future for Egyptian children
Because the beauty of the Coptic Egyptian woman must not perish from the Earth

I wish that's what they believed...this is a silly group called the Egyptian Nazi party (no joke)...they believe in the supremacy of Egyptians and all Arab races under the Islamic Sharia, but they oppose Hitler's holocaust because Judaism is a Monotheistic religion that needs to be respected.

I wonder how this works in their minds...  ??? I was paraphrasing a euphemistic (to say the least) Nazi slogan though.

But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

I want to put this as my profile pic, but I need an admin to tell me if it's OK first.
