Poklonskaya carrying a St. Nicholas the Passion-Bearer icon on Victory Day. We could insert vodka and Putin riding a bear somewhere and call this Russophile porn.

It's a very nice picture. I doubt he's Orthodox, though. His Excellency is a very public man, and the Arabic community kind of revolves around him: Greek Orthodox, Syriacs, Eastern Catholics and even Muslims and Assyrians. There was even a Druze in his Cathedral for the Patriarchal visit.

Thank God they are! I'm not sure if the Copts are part of this community, though. I myself never met any, despite the fact there is a large community in Jabaquara.

I don't know too much about the egyptian community in Jabaquara, I lived there when I was a infant so I don't remember. I once had a egyptian origin friend in college, but she was muslim.

Michel Temer is maronite catholic if I'm not mistaken.

not sure if they eat them in the city....but in other places yes...

and for what its worth, they are a fish.....or so says :

The Church, by the way, also classified another semi-aquatic rodent, the capybara, as a fish for dietary purposes. The critter, the largest rodent in the world, is commonly eaten during Lent in Venezuela. "It's delicious," one restaurant owner told the New York Sun in 2005. "I know it's a rat, but it tastes really good."

Not in the city, but it's a good idea! I'm a bit tired of eating cats, TBH.

Like alligators in Louisiana.
There are alligators nearby too. Children like to spit on them when they're under a bridge, but sometimes it gets a bit more serious:

Sucks to be that cat!

If you've had Chinese food in NYC, you have had cat.  Cat is tasty and they are such hateful creatures; it is a delight to consume them, especially with hoisin sauce.

I hope that's an actual picture from HE Amphilochius of Montenegro.

If it's photoshopped, it's a good one, but using a kalimavka doesn't make sense. Unless he just entered the field to give a light kick and play around with the kid.  :P

It looks legitimate to me under cloudy conditions such that there are no shadows. The picture dates back to at least 2007: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=sr&u=http://www.novinar.de/2007/11/page/2&prev=search

Nothing in the article suggests a necessity for photo-shopping the picture.

If it's photoshopped, it's a good one, but using a kalimavka doesn't make sense.

I'm not sure playing in a cassock makes much sense, but there it is.  :P

Awesome, a true soccer player! Now I see why His Excellency is the locum for South America.

In one of the interviews he says he used to be a quite good player in seminary times, but now he plays football only with children. And the serious reason is that the majority of the immigrants to South America being part of Serbian Church are Montenegrins (and he is one).

I want to play penalties with him.  :-[

Yes, most of them are Montenegrins, I think Argentina has the only bishop from the uncanonical Montenegrin Orthodox Church outside Montenegro.
