I feel a bit sad for not feeling able to place my own future completely on the right side of this picture.

An obscene image and two posts quoting it were removed from view.

I feel a bit sad for not feeling able to place my own future completely on the right side of this picture.

As I've written earlier, there is no husband/father in the foreground. Only 1 or 2 (don't know the sex of person talking with priest) adult man/men (beside priest). So it seems it would be difficult to be complety on the right side of the picture ;)
Well, on the other hand, there is practically nobody on the left side ;) But maybe there is a bigger symbolism behind it (no families - no childnre; people sitting only at office/home).

Something complety different:
Annuciation feast at st. Gabriel and Raphael church, Lattakia (Syria)
Pray for persecuted Christians, especially in Serbian Kosovo and Raška, Egypt and Syria

My Orthodox liturgical blog "For what eat, while you can fast" in Polish (videos featuring chants in different languages)

Yeah, it was kinda of a metaphorical way of "being on the picture" I was talking about :P But thanks for the tap on the shoulder.

I understood it's metaphorical and I said that in the metaphore of this picture there is no (at least not a lot) place for men.

My friend is a worship leader at that church. It is the most stereotypical megachurch you would ever encounter, right down to the latte bar and video segues. I can't go there or I would probably immediately become atheist out of instinctive reaction.  :P

I hear there is a marketing director position open though, so if anyone needs a job...  ;)
God bless!

I imagine "eis polla eti, Despota" being played in a heavy metal tune while the bishop arises on a platform from the floor, a lot of dry ice and crazy lights... Wow!

Ah yes, the icon of the apperance of the Holy Fuse Box.  ;D

There was a church with a steel iconostasis and electric lamps and it had a wire piercing. And once a priest wanted to open the royal doors and got blasted on the altar. True story.

That they have plumbing and a toilet.    ;)

It could be there is a homeless population in the area, and the church is offering these amenities to them.  Or perhaps the church is situated on a long highway where a lot of people travel without much other opportunities to stop for water and bathroom breaks.

I see it as the church trying to be hospitable.

The EWTN headquarters is in Irondale, Alabama. On their website, they have directions to their facility and instructions for visitors. From what I remember of the description, it is kind of a small locale - if you want to stay, you have to pick a hotel in a nearby town. So yes, it sounds like the church in the photo is being neighborly by allowing visitors to use their washrooms.
My only weakness is, well, never mind
