Many colleges including the University of Minnesota are now requiring students to sign "affirmative consent" contracts before having sex, in order to prove that the encounter was consensual.

Who would have thought that in 2015, secular colleges would have more restrictions on sex than many Christian ones?

This is bound to have a "chilling effect" that will lead to far fewer one-night stands and student sexual encounters overall, which is probably a good thing. But there are some who argue that the policy could lead to individual rights violations.

 :o that's actually legit?

How could the priest let her in with such cloths ? Seriously. So it is okay for a woman to enter the Church in front of the priest to the point where you can see her underwear?!  :o

Are such judgmental attitudes common in the Anglican Church of Canada?  :P

Sigh I expressed my shock that with that cloths, she was allowed to enter the Church. I guess as long as it is not clown mass, everything is good.  ::)

And no, judgmental attitudes are not common in the Anglican Church of Canada.

Was that sarcasm ? I really have difficult time with that. Even with friends I usually have serous reaction when someone says something that I didn't know it is sarcasm. I guess it is something cultural I need to work on.

NO

Ok, it's not, but worse yet, a regulation which is unappealable done by faceless beuracrats!

Actually I heard on the radio it was done by a couple of college girls as a hoax, posted and their college administrators thought it was good enough to consider making it a rule!

The Lebanese restaurant I go to has both shawarma and gyros sandwiches, and they are two distinctly different kinds of meat (their shawarma has more of a shredded texture and a more pungent spice mix than the gyros), which is why I was surprised to learn that many people use the two words to mean essentially the same thing.

Good!  But even some Arab restaurants don't make that difference clear for consumers, so they sell either one thing or another.

Perhaps a slipper slope argument?  He wants to marry his plant in a legally-sanctioned BDSM relationship.

Actually I'm afraid I misspoke, as it is not his plant, but that of a coworker. I do not know the relationship parameters for any of them at this point in time.

The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
