^Give it a few years.  It will make sense again.

Unless you happen to have that one guy again.

Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Why?  It's simply two Orthodox Christians getting married.  Why is that so shocking?

You literally get pages and pages of the exact same image, all from sites based in Holy Russia.  It warms my heart to know that the holy santity of marriage is glorified SOMEWHERE on this globe.  ;D

Many colleges including the University of Minnesota are now requiring students to sign "affirmative consent" contracts before having sex, in order to prove that the encounter was consensual.

Who would have thought that in 2015, secular colleges would have more restrictions on sex than many Christian ones?

This is bound to have a "chilling effect" that will lead to far fewer one-night stands and student sexual encounters overall, which is probably a good thing. But there are some who argue that the policy could lead to individual rights violations.

You should try reading the article you linked to 8) (and if you already did... well, try giving it another read). Unless you're trolling, in which case I must admit that I approve of your interesting mix of insight, absurdity and the ability to say out-there things in an understated way.

I did. The urban secularists are getting pretty puritanical and pharisaical in their own silly way. Organic food is seen as a kind of sacrament, which is eaten to feel pure. Teetotalers are everywhere. Dogmas are numerous and dissidents are anathematized and excommunicated. Indulgences for sins are fair trade products. Speech control is increasingly on the rise. I could go on and on.

To be a tiresome puritan doesn't even require religion anymore.

Excellent observation!

Even our most 'puritanical' parish out here still managed to issue a commemorative 'beer cozy.'

The secularists are beating us in most categories.  In a way, I'm glad.

I'm wondering if they will allow professionals to use their nicknames for contracts?

If Facebook was involved, everyone would have to get a code sent to their cellphone to prove their identity, and still they would have to send in copies of their driver's license.   :o
