Reminds me of one of my parakeets, Nina, I had when I was a kid.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

Drawn by someone who was none of those things.
"Love ... is an abyss of illumination, a mountain of fire ... . It is the condition of angels, the progress of eternity" (Climacus).

I pray every forum-member quits the internet and spends his days in a real version of this photograph.

Some expressionist summer scenes for those of us (most of us) who are stuck in midwinter.

simple, motocycles

It couldn't be a motorcycle, you would see the track of the front wheel and the track of the back wheel because when you turn the tracks don't line up.

I read somewhere that it's not right to cross one's arms like that when approaching the chalice (and, now that I think of it, I don't think anybody here does it). Is this a jurisdictional thing?

Unfortunately.  The Panjshir Valley is full of beauty and serenity, but still not oblivious to the death and destruction that is so common in Afghanistan.

As someone who owns parakeets, how do you get them to sit still let alone wrap them up in a towel?  Also in the other picture they appear to be free in a shopping mall. How do you get them to stand on a skateboard rather than biting in to them? These are mysteries.

Bishop Shenouda on the day of his enthronement to the papacy. Noting, as always, how awesome Coptic bishops used to look when they wore all their vestments.
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." --Psalm 91: 1-2
