Actually, picture of yesterday ;)  The consequences of the introducing the old calendar by force and in secret in some parishes in Poland look like that:

I must explain: from the feast of st. Andrew (30th November) until the feast of Epiphany (6th January) at my parish there are two calendars functioning (in the half of the June after almost 100 years the was a change for the old calendar), so yesterday there was Liturgy for st. Nicholas, but the icon and the blue elements weren't removed, as according to the old calendar, it's the festal season of the Theotokos Entrance (that was celebrated only according to the old calendar).
Fortunately, the service itself was only for st. Nicholas.

The st. Nicholas feast, BTW, will be celebrated at my parish also on the 19th of December  ::), however yesterday it was more festal, as our rector's name is Nicholas, and he couldn't bare celebrating his nameday on the 19th of December, as all the 74 years of his life he's been new calendar....

But Catholics don't worship statues. They simply venerate them as visual reminders of the Jesus, Mary, and the saints. It's like the respect one would have for a photos of their family or friends.

Shishas are awesome. Too bad it's too cold to smoke it outside and there aren't any shisha bars here.

Quite correct. However, the message is a slam against Protestants who don't get that point - because at Christmas they do exactly the same thing by setting up statutes that help them celebrate the season.
