They make vow to not own nothing.

I see such thing for first time.

Who said they owned anything?  Do you think they run around naked in the woods or something?

That looks way too organized to be a proper Orthodox procession. Are you sure those aren't Maronites in disguise?

They're definitely Orthodox, though at least one of the Facebook comments noted (with surprise and pleasure) the coordination of the event(s).  :)

Why do Orthodox use a picture of the Theotokos that resembles Our Lady of Fatima?

Where?
I believe Maria is referencing the image on the banners in their procession, which resembles Our Lady of Victory:

I was wondering the same thing.

Ah.  There are Copts among us so they can probably explain it better.  I presumed it was a fondness for Western style images, but then I saw some photographs of the Zeitoun apparitions in which our Lady appeared at times in more or less this "pose", so then I wondered if this image became popular for that reason.  These are just guesses, though.

A little bit of both.  Ever since the French and British missions into Egypt, simple folks did adopt and enjoy Westernized icons (or as one contemporary visitor saw it, cheap or poorly made Western-style icons).

But the icon of the Theotokos by herself has exactly been popularized because of the miracle of the appearance of the Virgin in Zeitoun.  You can almost say this may be "Our Lady of Fatima" in one area of the globe, but in Egypt, it's "Our Lady of Zeitoun":

Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

Myself with (a real Coptic full) Deacon Boulos (Paul) after liturgy at the annual good shepherd retreat. I served in the Altar with him!:

I'm on the left. This is the choosing of the lamb (loaf of bread to be transformed to the Body of Christ)

NOTE: We're in a hotel ballroom, hence the lack of icons, iconostasis etc. All the Altar vestments and vessels are from my church!

Uhh.. If you look behind the altar there's a banner of Jesus and some sheep. Our old tabernacle(the one used for this liturgy) has legit icons of Christ,  the Theotokos, St Pachomius,  and I forget who's on the fourth side. Is that sufficient?

Oh no, nothing against what you guys did.  I'm only curious.  I want to know if theoretically, we Copts can pray a liturgy without icons.

If we look at St Paul referencing the cloud of witnesses, I think we know that the cloud surrounds even without depiction. So if a church  is limited in resources,  it can function without icons, but a church that has the resources to have icons, must.

Check this thread out.

If you have any definitive answers about this, I would love to hear the Coptic view.  I think I was told it's not necessary if you don't have it, but if you do, great.  Contrast it to the EO practice where it's necessary, and no liturgy starts without at least two specific icons.

Not true. All that is required is an Antimins. If a Bishop is serving, even that is not required.

Do you have a citation for that?  I've never heard of it.

I have never heard of it your way, and I have been EO for 20 years.  Look up some articles on the antimins on Google.  Also, the antimins is the Bishop's permission to hold a Liturgy without him.  He does not need his own permission.  Priests need it because it is the evidence to the Faithful that the priest in question is the true representative of an Orthodox bishop, and not just some poser.  Icons (or for that matter, even a cross) are not required because we worship God and not idols.  Making created objects necessary for the worship of the uncreated is nothing but heathen hogwash. They are used because they are useful to assist our worship of the true God.  But with or without them, we worship God in Spirit and Truth, not by the use of idols.

You may also find the evidence that you are looking for by reading some of the writings of the catacomb Church during the Soviet era, as well as stories of worship in the Gulags.
I would be happy to agree with you, but then both of us would be wrong.

Despite the modernistic look of this picture, this animal is actually an ancient depiction of Christ in the Eucharist.
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.
