lol!

What happened to your sig gif?  I thought that was really cool and clever.

I want to find one where the legs moving coordinate better with the motion from the |move| tag... though now that I used a dinosaur I'll have to come up with something else... hmm...

Well, I have been watching that show a good bit lately... *scratches chin*

Nice... I wish the move tag would let you go both ways. I guess it can get turned around using some program/utility or other. Black as well, well we'll see...

Did you make that, or did you find it?

Made it in MS paint. At first I was just going to do a small banner type thing as a joke with that logo and name, but then I was waiting for a call and was bored so I figured I might as well mess around a bit.

Yes, it looks exactly like that except it looks like yours is mounted on brown stone or wood (can't tell from the pic) and mine is on a dark cranberry colored wood.

It was given to my by a lady in my parish. I don't know where she got it from.  If I remember, I will check the back when I'm at work tomorrow and see if it says on there.

I just bought two icons from this site:

However, it doesn't look like it has what you're looking for.  But I like this site.

I just called my aunt in PA and she said it's from a Greek nunnery in PA/MD. They get them from Greece.  Anyone know which one it is?

There are a couple of monasteries that our parish gets icons from, I'll see if I can find out, Coptic. I'm guessing she got it through our parish bookstore.

AFAIK, there are only two Greek women's monasteries in PA (not sure how many there might be in MD).  I've been to one of them and may have seen these there.  ISTM most monasteries carry products like this.  There's a Russian monastery about fifteen minutes away from my home town and they have a selection of those icons in various sizes.

The website I linked above actually has everything EO. It's very cool. Good prices as well. Man, my mouth watered just looking at their acolyte through protodeacon sets. I wish we could wear such amazing-ness. I think I'm going to get a Theotokos icon listed as "Theotokos Prayer" and an icon of St. Basil the Great. Maybe one of St. Anthony.

It seems to be most of John 13:34. I can pretty confidently make out "A new command I give you to love one another. As I have loved you so should you love."
Quote from: The Life of Ivan Neronov
[Ecclesiastics] conspired against him because they hated his teaching for its zealous emphasis on proper Christian conduct: with great courage he denounced all whom he saw behaving in an ungodly fashion... [As such] he was deprived of his priestly rank, bound in iron chains, and broken down in jails.

Yes, it looks exactly like that except it looks like yours is mounted on brown stone or wood (can't tell from the pic) and mine is on a dark cranberry colored wood.

Acctually its not typo. Kasperova is feminine form of surname Kasperov, and as articles say... it was mrs. Kasperova by whom Icon got name. :) Thank you brother for your kind words.

A friend of mine's great grandparents in Greece passed down to him a large painted copy of this icon with a riza and silk flowers adorning it. They received it from a Russian man fleeing the Bolsheviks who gave it to them in return for help and money for transportation.

Yes, it looks exactly like that except it looks like yours is mounted on brown stone or wood (can't tell from the pic) and mine is on a dark cranberry colored wood.

It's on wood.  I want to get another small one like it because they are usually inexpensive and easy to carry around. Where can I get the same one?  Do you know an online shop? I found this but no cigar. http://www.istok.net/religious-orthodox-icon-theotokos-of-kasperova.html#&ui-state=dialog
I looked on my icon, but it just has a prayer to the Theotokos on the back, no indication of where it is from.

Mine has a statement about its origin in Greece in Greek and English.  That's it haha.

A friend of mine's great grandparents in Greece passed down to him a large painted copy of this icon with a riza and silk flowers adorning it. They received it from a Russian man fleeing the Bolsheviks who gave it to them in return for help and money for transportation.

Get your friend to pass it over to me.  In exchange, you can be my friend.

Fine.  Then stop wasting time bickering, be a good friend, and get your friend to give me the icon.

Can't work out if her expression is saying "Yeah, that's right-I'm fertile like that!" or "What the ______ just happened?!"
