In the last month I've thought about making a separate thread for geeky pics, but then I realized that this whole site is a geek site, so that's sort of unnecessary. Anyway...

Those pictures are awesome. Thanks!

During the Olympics when I saw the flag carried by Ethiopian athletes, I knew the flag was "wrong". Thank you for reminding me why.
The back of the old Ethiopian flag:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. -The Lord Jesus

I thought it was hilarious, because this meme has been around for some time to make a point, which science in turn refutes and basically "ruins" the point (a testimony also to our scientific advancement as well).

I had never seen it before you posted it, but I can imagine. I was kidding about the Bones. Mocking my own stupidity for watching every episode of the show.

Really it is just a dumb idea. Anyone other than gay men and women really get their cockles warmed over about this? Maybe a necrophile? I dunno. I gotta watch more Hannibal to figure that one out.

Age comparison...

I had no idea Frakes (Riker) was that old when he started the series. I thought he was like 27 in the first season and then when he grew the beard he aged a half dozen years by the time season 2 started.

Comparisons for the other Trek shows...
