It looks like it was designed based on the Russian Patriarch's headdress.

OMG THE POPE HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR SAVIOR OF MANKIND UNITER OF ALL CHRISTIANS

El Santo Padre payaso.  Roll Eyes

LOL, I just don't see any Orthodox bishop doing this.  *knocks on wood*

When I was 13 and had some funny ideas like dyeing my hair flaming orange I was approached by a bishop who asked me whether I have some dye left because he wants to dye his beard.

Awww...the upper left one is sooooo cute!

That s/he is.  I like the lower left one, however.  S/he looks like s/he's wishing divine wrath on whoever did that to him/her.  The rest look like they're enjoying themselves.

Lol!  That's so true!!!!
Poor thing.

I think it might have something to do with using that particular kind of camera.  The cloak, that is.

Yes, that is not a cloak, but a sun shade used so he can see the focus plate of the camera before putting in the photographic plate.  Otherwise, the backlight fills the camera and you can't see the image.  The brimmed hat also helps keep the sun out of your eyes and the shade from dropping down while you are focusing.

I have an old wet plate lens, and am itching to get through all my other projects so I can finish building my own wet plate camera and do some tintypes.  My goal would be to tintype all the clergy in the diocese.

The man was just exorcised. The demon entered the pig and now the man rides the pig (drinking happily) until he gets off at the last second while the pig plunges off a cliff into hell (well, the pig immediately goes to heaven).

You have no idea. My revulsion to the pre-hipster, grunge gen-xers, was caused by my childhoom trauma of being relegated to trailer trash. I couldn't believe people with options would opt for looking like they lived like that.
