And I love that they're green.

Is that something out of ordinary? Green vestments are usually worn on ordinary sundays around here.

I wasn't thinking of seasonal colours, I just like green.  Smiley

Around these parts, the "default" colour for "ordinary" Sundays in traditions with an official colour scheme is gold.

We tend to save the gold for patriarchs' watches.

I think that Green is the ordinary color for Catholic churches on Sunday. At least that is what I read in the book Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, a Catholic publication explaining the Tridentine Mass (It was printed before Vatican II). Why would that be used in the Orthodox Church?

Pentecost, Palm Sunday, Prophets' feasts...

Isn't it used for Monastic saints' feasts as well? And Pentecost until Peter and Paul?

Looks like less dialogue, and more flashy lights. Like the Anglicans and us on Bonfire Night.  Wink

Oh liza, you make me feel young. It is a colloquialism once used to refer to pornography so you could talk about porn without porn being indexed by search engines. Thus keeping sites safe from those looking for porn. This was back in the old days.

It has taken on a more figurative meaning to suggest more than what porn usually does. In this case, images which appeal to the most base needs of those viewing them.

Maybe, but bestiality is not my thing.  Carmenality is where it's at (at least in the 1990's).
