Aracy de Almeida, one of the best from the Golden Age of Radio. She was a personal friend of Noel Rosa, one of the greatest samba composers of all time, and who deemed her the best interpreter to his songs. She used to be called "Samba in person". Knowledgeable in psychoanalysis and classical music, she never left her original suburban neighborhood.
She died in 1988. Youtube her. You will find her songs but also her participantion in a new talent singer tv show where she played the role of the grumpy judge, hence the face she had on the picture above.

The sign is put in the exact place where one of the main characters of the book met 2 strangers and a cat who complicated his life a bit.
