This picture may be too political and too polemical.

Capela dos Aflitos (Chappel of the Afflicted), a tiny chappel squeezed between decayed comercial buildings in the now asian neighbourhood of São Paulo. There is a lot of legends sorrounding this chappel, it was built over a graveyard reserved for slaves, homeless and people condemned to death by hanging in colonial times.

Nice. I happen to be friends with one of the country's greatest specialist on graveyards, currently he's trying to recover bones from "new negroes" (Africans bought but never sold into slavery, therefore unbaptised) buried in downtown Rio, upon which cars and even VLT lines pass.

Some photos of the Museum of Sacred Art in São Paulo, I find the simple colonial architecture quite nice, I'd like to see that architecture style adapted in orthodox temples.

The weird looking colonial times altar with a potato shaped sun

The same potato shape in a diferent place, some sort of almost 500 year old frescoe inside a colonial chappel, Capela do Indios, in São Paulo city.

It's from a wiki list of non-fiction sub-genres. Not sure why I thought it odd/funny. *shrugs* I was trying to figure out how to find more stories along the lines of the TNG episode where aliens 'seeded' the galaxy ('directed panspermia'); still digging tonight... have about 16 tabs open atm
