Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

From what I've seen of the latter, I find Johnny far more warm and lively. Am I wrong?

That's kind of what I was thinking when I posted it, lol. But I don't blame the actor--he was given a bad script by Cage, and then Cage as director wasn't going to give him much space to tinker with the lines. With that in mind, I can appreciate his subdued, understated performance, even if I found it boring; anything more lively would have made the thing goofier than Short Circuit (a Steve Guttenberg flick, mind you), which would have been even more offensive given what was being said, and the tone and themes in the rest of the game. For all the flaws of the Kara storyline SPOILERS--> and despite the criticisms that it was a waste because it didn't directly tie in significantly to the world-altering events going on <-- I thought it was the best of the three, because it felt the most real and human; it was the only one to make me feel feelings.  SPOILERS--> The three moments in the game that got an emotional response out of me beyond simple things like a chuckle or curiosity were all things I saw experienced in the Kara story: when Alice died at the end in my playthrough (my fault!??); when I realised that I had let Luther die and didn't save him (my fault!!); and when Kara was fighting Todd, which was the only time I felt actual tension during the QTE-athon <-- I do have to say though, that while the Connor storyline didn't move me emotionally, I absolutely loved the Connor/Hank relationship, and would totally play an L.A. Noire type game with them as protagonists.

My parish church was built by Russians.
Anyway, such type of cross is pretty common in Eastern and central Poland, as it's perceived as Eastern Slavic. In Southern Poland the lowest bar is more often straight, plain.

It's the Collins Modern Classics box set. Out of print now (sets don't last long) but still possible to get on eBay. I picked it up at at a local charity bookstore; it's missing one of the 10 titles, but at £6, it's nothing to complain about.
