Box in Church - Translation?
« on: February 27, 2011, 10:40:21 AM »
I figured this box was the alms box, but I'm not sure, this is what it says:

It is an alms box. The sign says:
"Support the feeding centre [called] "Give Us This Day" [our daily bread]."
Its a "soup kitchen" giving free food: http://imd.gr/site/articles/top/dorean_fagito/102/&day=23&month=2&year=2011
If you're living a happy life as a Christian, you're doing something wrong.

Ah ok good...

It's been really hard being here in Greece and having people begging on the sidewalks and on the steps/narthex of the Church. It really hurts me to see these people like this, so I was hoping that is what the box was for.
