Today the Servant of God, Fr. Emmanuel Metaxas who served for 54 years in the Church of the Taxiarchae (Archangels) in Watertown, Massachusetts, fell asleep in the Lord. He leaves behind his Presbytera, Penny, as well as three children and three grandchildren. "May He remember all thy offerings and accept the fat of thy holocausts."+Eternal Memory.

Metaxas as a youth advisor for 7 years (as well as Fr. Ted & now Fr. Demetri). An amazing individual, man, and priest. He will be sorely missed. May his Memory be Eternal.

May the Lord remember your priesthood, Fr Emmanuel!
I also had the great honor and privelege to know Fr Emmanuel when I was the "Pastoral Assistant" for Fr Ted Barbas at Taxiarchae Parish. There were times when Fr Emmanuel would give me the benefit of his wisdom when I needed it...he had a very special talent at not only knowing what to say, but also knowing how to say what needed to be said. I have many very fond memories of him, and love looking at Youtube clips of that parish just to see Fr Emmanuel and Fr Ted.

Dear Lord, please grant the eternal rest to your loyal and faithful servant. Kyrie Eleison! Lord, have mercy!
Fr. Emmanuel will be always fondly remembered by everyone, who met him, as a format of a true Christian. It was an honor and a privilege for me to meet him. Fr. Emmanuel's efforts for the Holy Orthodox Church were beyond extraordinary.
