With reconciliation at the heart of the powerful Gospel message of Sunday of the Prodigal, it was a real blessing to have the Western-rite University mission of St. Dyfan, Hobart, and their priest-in-charge Fr. Barry Jeffery come and worship with us in a concelebrated Divine Liturgy, served with the Vicar-General of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese of ROCOR, Mitred Archpriest Dr. Michael Protopopov, AO, JP:  http://orthodoxtasmania.blogspot.com/

Why Fr. Barry is in Byzantine vestments?
The rite used was the Byzantine rite, hence Byzantine vestments.  If I am correct the Western-rite do not actually have concelebrated masses within their own rite but will concelebrate in an Eastern liturgy.

Why can't he concelebrated in Western vestments? Priests from Greece, while in Russia, do not change their felonions to spiky ones.

Possibly because all WRO priests are practically bi-ritual.

Actually if my vantage point in the choir loft reading the Hours held true, I believe Fr. Barry even though he was fully vested in Eastern vestments put a small purple Western stole ( of the kind carried by a Western cleric for the last-rites ) and wore it when he heard confessions and only took it off after the Hours before the liturgy started.
