Many years for new Metropolitans
« on: March 03, 2011, 07:47:49 PM »
The Synod of Constantinople has unanimously elected two new Metropolitans:  The Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod, Fr. Elpidophoros (Lampryniadis) as Metropolitan of Proussa, and the Chancellor of the Ecumenical Throne, Fr Stephanos, as Metropolitan of Kalliopoulos and Madetos.  May the Lord guide and direct their ministries to every good work, and may He remember them in His Kingdom.  Many years!  Axioi!

"O Cross of Christ, all-holy, thrice-blessed, and life-giving, instrument of the mystical rites of Zion, the holy Altar for the service of our Great Archpriest, the blessing - the weapon - the strength of priests, our pride, our consolation, the light in our hearts, our mind, and our steps"
Met. Meletios of Nikopolis & Preveza, from his ordination.

Axioi! Many years to them!
If you're living a happy life as a Christian, you're doing something wrong.

Многая літа, Владико! AXIOS! AXIOS! AXIOS!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
