Thank you for the link to the article.  I am new here, and I too, am very concerned about the persecution of Christians in that region.  I had recently come across some very disturbing articles about the persecution of Christians in Eritrea at In Chains For Christ dot org.  I agree - we must pray, pray, pray and then pray some more!
I join you in your prayers.

What does the picture has to do with the topic of the article? The article is claiming that there is persecution in Muslim areas, right? I see only christian clergy members and a laity.

Thank you so much for the welcome.  I am very concerned about the situation in Eritrea and Ethiopia.  My parish is taking it seriously also and our priest is encouraging us to educate ourselves.  In business, I have many contacts in Ethiopia and they tell me that the situation is deteriorating rapidly for Christians of all traditions.  I fear greatly, especially for the Orthodox as they are being imprisoned daily in Eritrea and the regime there has an especial hatred for all Orthodox Christians.  I welcome any other articles that you might be willing to share.
