Was reading a bio on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celsus

What was his deal? What source material did he have to come to the conclusion that Jesus had a human father, worked miracles by sorcery, and tought his dicsiples to beg for money?

Did he have connection with the Pharisees?

The same reason why some people are so anti Christian today, they just reject the ideas and notions of Christianity. Of course this is just a guess but I think it is a likely guess.

I am also interested in knowing where Celsus got his info with which he used against the Christians as well.
Anyone?

That's a reasonable implication; no source material needed for that.

worked miracles by sorcery
Even the NT quotes Jewish authorities making that claim against Jesus's miracles, so that wasn't a strange idea.

and tought his dicsiples to beg for money?
This is the eternal critique made against renunciates (monks, yogis, sanyasins) in India: begging as a dishonorable way to live.
