Christ is Risen!

A good friend of a girl at my parish was murdered in her dorm yesterday. Please pray for the repose of her soul. Her name is Jessica. Also, please pray for conversion of the guy who did as he is now on trial and will face either the death penalty or life in prison, as well as for those who are suffering because of this. Thank you.

In Christ,

Matt

Grant peace, refreshment, and repose on the soul of Thy child Jessica, who has fallen asleep.

Shelter Your handmaiden Jessica, O Lord, in a place of brightness, a place of verdure, a place of repose, whence all sickness, sorrow and sighing have fled away, and where the sight of Thy countenance rejoiceth all Thy saints from all ages.  Grant her Thy Kingdom, and a portion in Thine ineffable and eternal blessings.  For Thou art the Resurrection and the Life and the Repose of Thy departed servants, O Christ our God, and unto Thee we ascribe glory, together with Thy Father who is from everlasting, and Thine all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.  Amen.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
