I apologize if i have placed this in the incorrect forum

I was curious, what is the status of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia in terms of being in communion with the majority of Churches, and the Russian Orthodox Church specifically.

My research and prayer has lead my to considering Orthodoxy, and my culture has lead me to Russian

ROCOR is now in communion with the rest of Orthodoxy, including the ROC.

You would need to contact a local priest and discuss your personal situation further. He will decide, along with his bishop, what exactly he would like you to do in terms of preparation, reading materials, attendance at church etc. before he receives into the Church.

On Ascension Thursday 2007 the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia signed an Act of Canonical Communion in Moscow.

ROCOR became a self-governing Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, with the same status as Latvia, Estonia and Moldova within the Russian Church.

Here is a report of the event in Moscow
