Michael Schiavo sinks even deeper
« on: May 04, 2004, 10:30:35 AM »
For those of you who have followed the incredibly disturbing case of the slow murder of Terri Schiavo, her estranged husband has sunk even lower.  He is now refusing to allow her parents to sit by her side as the poor woman is dehydrated and starved to death.

Story

This man is despicable.  Please pray for Terri and her family.

Just read the story.  That man is dispicable.  May God have mercy on his soul, I think he will need it more than poor Terri.

He sounds like a jerk but it's always easy to spin the facts to suit an agenda.

These cases are always difficult and there are people who love their relatives dearly but still choose to withhold care from them.

Sometimes I think that people forgot what these people's conditions are.  I know the parents in the Cruzan case went through hell to get what they thought their daughter would want.

Lord, have mercy....

May God move the hearts of all involved towards life.  Let's not only get Michael out of the picture, but that Judge Greer, too!

People trying to make difficult choices don't kill their wife's cats and keep the parents away.

Or melt down her wedding and engagement rings to make a ring for him.

It's always so easy to demonize people.  I just don't feel comfortable saying he's "despicable."  A lot of time people act strangely in these situations.  Sometimes it's because the marriage wasn't perfect.

My point is that by the times things get to the point of going to court, the facts are very messy on both sides.
