For those affected by the snow
« on: February 01, 2011, 09:12:31 AM »
Many areas in the US are expected to get record snowfalls in the upcoming days.  Many of these areas are accustomed to snow, but meteorologists are forecasting record snowfalls that many areas/people are not accustomed to.  Let us pray that it will not be as bad as is predicted, that people will remain lighthearted and not panic, and that all who need to be out (police, fire, emergency etc...) will be safe and able to do their jobs.

Lord, have mercy!

Lord, have mercy!  We would prefer more temperate weather, but Thy will be done.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord, have mercy and keep everyone safe and warm.
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
