Hello friends.

So today I was talking to an Indian friend of mine about the Marian apparitions in Zeitoun, Egypt when she brought up the issue of Ganesh statues that drank milk a while back. Apparently this was a phenomenon that happened all over the world, not just in India. Statues of Ganesh, literally made of ceramic, brass and other materials, would drink in milk via its tusk when it had milk fed to it via a spoon.

As an Orthodox Christian, I assume this is probably something demonic but I was wondering if anyone else has a less simplistic answer for this phenomenon.

Thanks!

This has been debunked, i'll give you the links if I can find them. IIRC, it was statues made of pourous stone soaking up milk, then as a form of mass hysteria took over, ppl imagined that the staues were drinking.

If people cry at weddings...why don't they laugh at funerals?
