A political matter
« on: January 28, 2011, 03:53:30 PM »
...though I think you'll agree it doesn't belong in the Politics forum.

I've recently run across the terms hacktivist and hacktivism, referring to a person who pursues their often ideological and radical political objectives through computer hacking.

I would like to lay claim to the term slacktivist -- a person who pursues their political aims through laziness and slothfulness.

Well, I'll be darned.  Who'da thought?  I guess it's only appropriate, though, that a slacktivist be beaten to the punch.  Defeated by my own ideology.  Oh, the irony...
