Holy Father Patrick, pray for us

Another priest has been received for the Western Rite in the Russian Church Abroad.  This is Fr George Grube, formerly of the Milan Synod.  He has been assigned to the Fraternity of Saint Gregory which is supervised by Fr Anthony (Bondi.)  Prior to his reception into ROCA Fr Anthony was the bishop of these priests.

This brings to 14 the number of priests under Fr Anthony's paternal care.

Many Years to Father George!

Christ is risen!

Another new Western rite priest in the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad's Western Rite Vicariate is Archimandrite Anthony Good, formerly of the Milan Synod (and even more formerly, of the OCA). He is a beloved priest who has raised a large number of foster children in his long career. Fr. Anthony lives a simple life in a rural area, in the Zion Hermitage. He celebrates services according to the Sarum Use of the Roman rite and has spiritual children in various jurisdictions of the Orthodox Church. Father is not one who seeks out the spotlight, but who avoids it, along with ecclesiastical controversies in general.

Here is the biography of Archimandrite Anthony, called "This Father Knows Best": http://timeofthechrist.com/Downloads/files/FrKnowsBestsm.pdf

If I am not mistaken, Fr. Anthony was received into the Russian Church Abroad this past Wednesday. Ad multos annos!

Thank you for this biography, Fr Aidan.  What a very sympathetic man.
