David went to the doctor just a few weeks ago, and has today been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his spine and brain. He starts 3 weeks of intensive treatment tomorrow.
He is a great man who married an Orthodox woman and has recently converted to Orthodoxy. He has come to church even though he didn't understand Ukrainian. His wife would quietly whisper in his ear translating everything. They are a most devoted and loving couple.
Please join me in praying that this treatment works and he is healed. Please, also say a prayer for his wife Irena, who is shocked and distraught.
Lord, have mercy on both your servants David and Irena. Heal David, so that he and Irena may enjoy many more happy and healthy years, together.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Theotokos and of all Thy Saints, especially St. Nectarios and St. John of San Francisco, have mercy on David and Irena and grant them health and salvation.
