A bit old:

Quote
"We are a single community of Orthodox Christians, and we are the local Church in Dallas, the local Church in Northeast Texas. It doesn't matter that we have all these various administrative jurisdictions, ultimately, because we gather together as one Body, to pray with one mind and one heart, to celebrate the same Eucharist, to come to the same chalice. It doesn't matter if we are Eastern Rite or Western Rite, doesn't matter the language in the service is, but...we are one Church. We are one local Church, and I might add, we are one indigenous Church."

I remember reading this a while back.  Such a fantastic attitude.  Thanks for sharing it Michael!

It'd be nice to see that statement put into action :-), but I guess the hoped for influx from the ACNA never happened...

Which is very unfortunate. I love the ACNA, and would probably be in it if I hadn't found Orthodoxy.

Still, Vladyka Jonah's comments are beautiful. I hope to live to see them become an administrative reality.

Well, his Beatitude did say they would have to give up the heresy of Calvinism.

Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

...which, for most of them, is dogma.

It is for us too, just heretical dogma.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth
