Hi. I rarely post, but I would like to ask if you would keep me in your prayers. I'm
an RC who is converting to Orthodoxy. My biggest struggles have been fasting (I'm such
a wimp!) and losing my "identity" as a RC. I know that sounds strange...but as a devout
Catholic, there's a bit of....I don't know....grieving? I don't find Orthodoxy hard to accept
or believe....much of it is what I already believe. The rest of my family is non-practicing
RC, so I sometimes feel very alone. Please pray for me. I am still very attached to my rosary
(although I most frequently say the Jesus Prayer on it) and my dear St. Francis.
I have taken the name Elizabeth (St. Elizabeth Duchess of Russia) as my Patron Saint.
Blessings to all....

Prayers......
Lord Have Mercy.....Amen Amen

Baby steps in fasting, till one get accustom to it....
Fasting is self discipline , but not just from certain foods, but in
thoughts, deeds , and words......Good Luck with all these struggles..... Grin

Thank you all....for your prayers...I am so blessed!!!
If you have suggestions, please share them with me.
Question....are there any RC converts to OC that still
hold to their rosary? I don't know if its sentiment, or ?
The prayer ropes...I don't know...I'm still more comfortable
with 'beads'.  Silly, isn't it?  Again, thank you. I will keep all
of you in my heart and prayers too.  Blessings!
