Greetings in Lord Jesus Christ....Im new here and Im from the Philippines...

1. I want to know if there is any member here from philippines...
2. If there is anyone in oriental faith is/are living in philippines or have concerned about it or had mission to it....

Im on the constant move because I am a seaman...the world is my living ground....thats all for now and thanks for the reply...

Welcome Jerold!

I know there are Eastern Orthodox Churches in the Philippines (Greek and Antiochian Orthodox.)  Filipinopilgrim and Sohma_hatori are two members here who are Eastern Orthodox, and they live in the Philippines.

Oriental Orthodox includes the Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Syriac, Indian, and Armenian Orthodox Churches.  I'm not sure if there are Oriental Orthodox parishes or missions in the Philippines.  I would think that if any of our Churches were involved there, it would be the Coptic Church, since they are very active in Australia and seem to have a presence in that area of the globe.  Maybe one of our Coptic brothers can look into it and see if there is a Coptic mission over there.

I came across this interesting tidbit:

Liturgy of Saint Mark       
At the regular meeting of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) from 18 to 20 April 2007 in New York, a report of Protopriest John Shaw of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America on the rite of the Divine Liturgy of the Holy Apostle Mark was examined.

The Synod of Bishops deemed it beneficial to publish this rite, and gave their blessing for it to be celebrated in the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

The DL of St. Mark is the native rite of Alexandria, OO and EO, and one of the normal DL of the Coptic Church.
