Congradualtions, welcome to the Orthodox Faith.  Converting has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I do not regret that I did at all!!!

Historynut,

Congratulations and welcome home.  Do you mind if I was what patron saint you have chosen(or has chosen you)?

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Hey David

Me and my priest agreed that I was pretty much fated to be a Demetrios as my second liturgy and my first at this parish was St. Demetrios' name day at a parish named after saint Demetrios. And thank you all for the warm welcome.
