Please dear clergy of this forum and any prosphora makers who post, could you all please remember Martha during the Divine Liturgy by either praying for her during your preparation for the Holy Communion if you are a priest or writing her name on your commemoration list if you make the bread?
She didn't have an Orthodox family. And she spent many hours on this forum getting to know many of us.
thank you, Tamara

I remember not too long ago she had said that she was undergoing treatment. Whether it was radiation or chemotherapy, I can't recall. I just assumed that she was recovering and doing well. Apparently, that was not the case. O Lord, have mercy.

I've been away from the forum and had not heard of the passing of this gentle soul. Lord, have mercy upon Martha and grant her rest in your eternal Kingdom. Memory eternal.

I have never met her, but I've seen some of her posts and she seemed like a very kind woman.
O Almighty God, have mercy on your handmaiden Martha who has passed from this life. May her memory be eternal.

Lord, have mercy! From her FB, it seems that she was only 41. I am a mere 11 years away from that age. And what have I to show for my time in this world heretofore...let us all redouble our own efforts at repentance.
+Eternal memory! Our Rosehip was Martha Hays, who posted on Facebook as Martha L-macnair and on OC.net as Rosehip. She converted to Orthodoxy when she was a Mennonite missionary to Ukraine, and attended the Jordanville Summer Music School to learn more about the services of the Church. She died after a long battle with cancer, in Toronto, Monday morning at about 2 a.m., 20 December 2010. May God give her rest where there is no sickness or sorrow. May her memory be eternal.
