For my wife...
« on: December 17, 2008, 11:27:14 PM »
Please pray for my wife and our (as yet) unborn child, that she pass the pregnancy without complication, and give birth to a healthy and God-fearing child!
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

Through the prayers of the Theotokos, Lord have mercy on your servants.

Prayers...

Newly adopted by the USCCB, a blessing prayer for a child in the womb

"May almighty God, who has created new life, now bless the child in your womb, the Lord has brought you the joy of motherhood: May he bless you with a safe and healthy pregnancy. You thank the Lord today for the gift of your child: May he bring you and your child one day to share in the unending joys of heaven."

An old timer is a man who's had a lot of interesting experiences -- some of them true.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
