My question is about the prayer book of the Syriac Orthodox Church (of Syria).

What do these following words mean?
shhmo, qawmo, eqbo, qolo, bo'ootho?

Thanks. Secondary question.

What do they signify in the context of the Syriac Prayer Book?

The Syriac Orthodox Book of Hours is called the Shhimo, "simple prayer." The shhimo has offices for the canonical hours for each day of the week

Each time a prayer starts with a prologue and a Qawmo which is a set of prayers with Trisagion and the Lord's prayer.

Bovutho – Multiple stanzas of petitions, often of repentance,
Eqbo – an introductory type of hymn
Qolo ,A hymn comprised of as few as 2 stanzas to as many as 20-30 stanzas

Thanks. You linked to the text I am using. The Syriac Book Of Hours is so beautiful. I love its' progression between repentance and joy.
