My name is Matthew and I am married with 3 children ages 10-18. We need some major prayers for guidance.

We moved the Southeast (where we grew up) to the Midwest 10 years ago. Since we have lived here, we have converted to the Orthodox Christian Faith from the protestant evangelical world. This has been easier, since we are not under the heavy hand of family. They accept our conversion, but do not agree with it.

We need prayers for guidance as we are considering a move back to the Southeast. Our parents are aging, and is it difficult to be there for them when they are 700 miles away. My wife wants to go back, but we have our children to consider. We have a GREAT life in the midwest, so this is no small decision.

We are so conflicted and confused, and feel very torn. "A man plans his steps, but God guides his path." I (we) REALLY need God to make it clear what we should do. Please pray for us, and as much as possible, ask your friends and priests to pray for us as well.

In XC,
Matthew

Lord, have mercy on Your servant Matthew and his family.  Let Your will be known to them.

Amen.

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth
