After liturgy, when we go up to venerate the cross, my priest tells me "Happy Feast", and I respond with the same. but, last week he said "Spretchen Brasnik" or something like that to me. I notice he says it to foreigners in their native languages. sometimes, he'll yell "Sprazniko" at us.
what language is "Spretchen Brasnik"? what is the appropriate responce?
I feel a bit bad, as I "left him hangin' " , out of surprise.

Празник praznik means holiday, I think. честит празник is 'happy holiday/feast'. Don't know about spretchen.

I thought it's strange when our priest says that, because I'm not used to it. He actually says "With the Feast," which is a translation of S' Praznikom.

That's correct. I usually hear "Christ is in our midst"
..however, we also hear "Eez Praznikom", which means "...with the Feast Day". (Greeting you with the Feast Day.)
Sunday's are always a "holiday", and therefore, a Feast Day.

You could have always said "Yeh sure, same to you".

You can always ask him "say what?"

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth
