There were revolutionary war figures and several governors. DeWitt Clinton was governor in the early 1820's and had the Erie Canal constructed which linked the Atlantic across through several rivers to the Great Lakes which helped open up the American west. My church is on Clinton Street! Probably sorry you asked! |
