Definitely bad. I work for a beer distributor in NorCal and there will be price increases on the Duvel Moortgat products (Duvel, Maredsous, La Chouffe and Liefmans) in 2011.
That sucks.
My favourite beer that is widely available (in Bevmos at least) is Rochefort 10. Rochefort 10 amd St. Bernard 12 go very well together; I once had rather a liquid evening enjoying them. I've never had Westvleteren although Ive heard St. Bernard 12 is much like the old Westvleteren 12, and that if you mix it with Rochefort 10 you get a similiar flavour.
I really dislike Chimay and LaTrappe. Too bitter.
I love Lambic beers, but the good ones are very expensive. There is a fun, silly strawberry beer called Fruhli that I enjoy.
Amomg British beers, I once had a delicious bitter called The Directors. Not available in the US. We get some good stouts from a Yorkshire brewery however including their delicious oatmeal stout.

Of late I have suffered discomfort when drinking alcohol; I become flushed and my bowells ache. Ive never been drunk or hung over in my life, so I cannot explain this discomfort. Perhaps the bad stomach flu I had in 2013 and 2015 damaged my innards. As a result, I can only take small glasses, so this has caused me to shift to sherry wine and champagne cocktails; I am particularly fond of the Kir Royale. I don't drink much, and only alcohol sets this off, otherwise I would see a gastroenterologist.
This unpleasant effect does not occur when partaking of the Eucharist, needless to say.
